Dignity Health

Designed brochures, flyers, and documents for doctors and nurses for Dignity Health.

Element: Craft Candles & Brews

Worked with a team of people on this project where we made a small business on candles and cider/beer. We came up with the abstract name of Element that represent people getting into their environment or "element" and having fun crafting candles, hanging out with friends, and possibly getting something to drink whether at be cider or beer.

I designed labels and took pictures that would be featured in our booklet. However, here is a small taste of some of my designs.

Optima Spreadsheet

Selected Optima as the typeface to do research on. Had to make a layout with information that included, a picture, title, subtitle, a list, quote, and paragraphs. This would have to fit within a grid system.

Independent Poster Project

The goal for these assignments were to create 11"x17" posters and design them in a way that portrays the information about the band that would stand out to the audience.

Campaign Project

The Campaign Project was focused on designing two 16"x20" posters for the Festival of New American Music that would be taking place at Sacramento State. The first poster had to only include a name and a visual element along with the Sac State and Arts & Letters logo. The second poster contains the schedule of each performance followed by parking information, people who are involved the event, the website, and the title.

The next phase of the project was to create deliverables that would go along with the posters to make a system. The post card would be sent to people attending Sacramento State to advertise the upcoming Festival. The banners would be located on campus to inform the people of the event. Lastly, an email would be sent out to everyone that would link them to the website that informs them about the event.

Brochure: Edward Weston

Selected a photographer who does black and white photography. Did a four-panel double-sided spread that is an accordion fold. Features Weston's pictures along with a timeline and quote. Took elements from the front, such as colors and shapes, and mirrored them on the back for consistency.

The Crystal Stopper

This book was a redesign from the original cover. The new design of the book follows a grid system and also follows a design system from the cover to the spine and to the title pages and chapter breaks. The crystal pattern on the cover represents the crystal stopper which is a major theme of the story. There is a clue hidden within the stopper that will help the protagonist solve the mystery.

California Energy Commission

Here is a collaboration of assignments and projects I have worked on with the CEC. I work on fact sheets and accessibility a lot. These also include flyers, and graphics as well. I have also made figures, icons, and signage that fit within the CEC branding guidelines.

Aero Archery

Selected archery as the sport to do my business on and called it "aero archery." Made an entire branding system out of it starting from the logo, to the business card, and then bringing that design to the stationery and website. Went with a more professional focus on the color scheme with black and orange that is reflected in the entire design.
